Stunning views of Birmingham are seen from the observation deck at the city’s historic Vulcan Park. Appropriately named after the Roman god of fire and the forge, Birmingham celebrates its past as a city forged by the iron industry with a family friendly, 10-acre park. A 56-foot statue of Vulcan is the park centerpiece. The 56-foot, 100,000-pound statue is the second largest in the United States, after the Statue of Liberty.
