The Javelina Alley neighborhood consists of just a half-dozen or so single-family homes along a single street east of Bonanza Avenue – East Wild Javelina Place. When Javelina Alley residents are looking for more room to stretch their legs, they don’t have to venture far from home. Within a mile to the southwest of the neighborhood is McDonald District Park. Of course, Javelina Alley residents also enjoy close proximity to the Santa Catalina Natural Area, which can be easily accessed via nearby Catalina Highway. To the north, opportunities for outdoor recreation and nature viewing abound at the Butterfly Peak Natural Area, the Catalina State Park, and the General Hitchcock Picnic Area. To the southeast is the Saguaro National Park.

Despite close proximity to all of these beautiful natural surroundings, Javelina Alley residents aren’t cut off from civilization. Commercial offerings abound in the foothills area, and the downtown area is just a short drive away.
