Flowing Wells is a large CDP (Census-Designated Place) located in Northwest Tucson, not far from the University of Arizona. I-10 forms the western boundary of the neighborhood, while the Rillito River forms a natural eastern boundary.
Home to over 15,000 residents, Flowing Wells contains several smaller neighborhoods, including Sagewood, River Point, Brookwood, Buena Tierra, Victoria Gardens, La Cholla, Gibson, and Lawson Valley.
Both rustic and beautiful, the Flowing Wells area offers an interesting blend of natural attractions and man-made ones. Silverbell Park, which wraps around Silverbell Lake, is a haven for wildlife. Mature trees add to the beauty of the park, and the lake provides plenty of fishing opportunities. Hand-powered boating is permitted. Nearby Archer Lake is great for model boating.
The Tucson Mall is located on the east end of the neighborhood, while the Oracle Shopping Plaza, Campbell Plaza, and Silver Sunset Center are other nearby shopping destinations.
Take a drive on North La Cholla Boulevard and you’ll discover Tucson National Golf Course. Other nearby golf courses include Siverbell Golf Course, El Rio Golf Course, and Randolph Municipal Golf Course.
