For shopping and a bite to eat, locals head south across Dunn Avenue to Jackson Regional Mall, a large shopping center featuring chain restaurants and retailers like JC Penney, Winn Dixie, and Beall’s Outlet.

Forest Trails is home to many schools, including S.A. Hull Elementary, Dinsmore Elementary, Highlands Middle, William M. Raines High, and Ribault Senior High School. College students are just minutes away from campus at Florida State College’s School of Culinary Arts and Hospitality.
