Within the neighborhood of Richmond Heights at the intersection of Willie Mays Parkway and King Cole Boulevard is the 4.2-acre Willie Mays Family Park. This has shaded picnic areas, a softball diamond, a basketball court, and two playgrounds. The community is home to a variety of educational institutions, including the First Academy College Preparatory School, which sits just outside Richmond Heights to the east.
