Logan is a small neighborhood community nestled near downtown Greensboro in the middle colleges and urban growth. This neighborhood features modest houses in a variety of styles, including shotgun, shed and craftsman-style architecture, sometimes within the same structure. It is close to public transportation centers and student-friendly restaurants, bars, and retail stores.

Law Street makes up the western boundary of Logan and S Benbow Road the east. The northern border is Perkins Street. To the south, E Lee Street, also known as Highway 6, completes the rectangle. Logan Street, bisects the neighborhood from north to south.

Though there are no public parks in Logan, the Windsor Recreation Center, located near the southeastern corner of the neighborhood, offers residents and visitors programming in addition to gym facilities, meetings rooms and space for arts and crafts.

Logan is located across the street from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State College, also known as North Carolina A&T. This large, research-oriented school offers bachelor’s, master’s and doctorate degrees. To the west of Logan is Bennett College, a Methodist-affiliated institution that was converted to an all-women’s school in 1926. Bennett has less than 1,000 students total and a small faculty to student ratio. Washington Elementary School is outside the western boundary of Logan and is a branch of the Guilford County Schools system.

One of the major points of interest near Logan is the Sebastian Medical Museum. This museum was constructed inside a Tudor Revival-style house that demonstrates how the living conditions for Greensboro’s African-American population improved over time due to medical advances. Exhibitions span several buildings and display African-American medical history dating as far back as 1928.
