With open green spaces, this picturesque park is an oasis in the midst of the urban landscape. It sits between two launch sites of Raleigh’s canoe trail. The park is home to four miles of trails to explore, as well as a children’s playground.

Two and a half miles from Anderson Pointe is one of the city’s hidden gems. The Historic Oak View County Park on Carya Drive is a 19th-century historic farmstead that offers visitors a glimpse into yesteryear via educational displays like the Cotton Gin House. The park has charming gardens, trails to hike, and picnic areas. Children enjoy visiting the livestock barn and the pecan grove.

Anderson Pointe’s locale on the far eastern side of the city makes it necessary for area residents to have access to motor transportation to reach schools, shopping, and outdoor recreation. The shops at Edgewater Place off North Rogers Lane are about a mile from the heart of neighborhood. Raleigh’s downtown section is less than nine miles away.
