As with any proper castle, the Camelot Village development has its own impressive entryway. Drive home every night between twin turreted towers sporting colorful banners, minus the moat of course. Currently under construction, this subdivision is a series of high-density condos to be built in six phases. Once operational, units will be available for sale and rent.

Camelot Village is being built along Pearl Ridge Road southeast of downtown Raleigh. The area south of the development is sparsely populated. To the east are urban subdivisions, some of which are still growing. Barwell Road Elementary School and Little Angels Daycare are both in the neighboring Barwell Estates. The closest middle school is East Garner on Jones Sausage Road. Southeast Raleigh Magnet High School, on Rock Quarry Road is five miles west. Both the Immanuel Apostolic Church and the Solid Rock Baptist Church, on Pearl Road, are next to Camelot Village.

Pearl Road leads to Rock Quarry Road and Interstate 40, giving easy access to the downtown core. While there is a Domino’s and a McDonald’s right around the corner on Rock Quarry Road, most of the other restaurants and shops are along the major thoroughfares. The closest full service eateries are along Interstate 40 at Jones Sausage Road. These are the locally owned Sophie’s Pizza and Bojangles Famous Chicken. Follow Interstate 40 north and find Ribs By Art and a host of well known fast food outlets. The same roadway leads to Raleigh Boulevard heading towards the Raleigh Country Club, St Augustine’s College, and the Wakemed Hospital Raleigh Campus.
