North Hilltop Apartments for Rent

The Columbus community of North Hilltop is located on the northern side of West Broad Road, west of I-70. The community is part of the Greater Hilltop area, consisting of the communities of Hilltop, Highland West, Wilshire Heights, and Westgate. The area received its name due to being situated on a rise that slopes down to the Scioto River.

This diverse community dates back to the early 1900s and has various architectural styles. Community schools include Highland Avenue Elementary School and West Broad Street Elementary School.

Rhodes Park is situated at the junction of West Broad Street and I-70. This handicapped-accessible park offers something for everyone. Wheelchair sports include softball, basketball, rugby, and football. The park also has walking paths and picnicking areas. Hilltop Community Park, Westmoor Park, and Holton Park are also located in North Hilltop. Glenwood Park, located just south of the community on the south of West Broad Street, has a swimming pool popular with area residents during the summer months.

The State of Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles and the Ohio Department of Public Safety are both located in North Hilltop, just west of Rhodes Park.

The Great Western Shopping Center lies just to the west of North Hilltop, along with a variety of other shopping centers that are grouped along U.S. 40/West Broad Street. Residents can shop at Target, Party City, Hobby Lobby, and Kohl’s; take the kid’s to Chuck E. Cheese; grab a quick bite at Boston Market; visit Kroger’s for some groceries; see a movie; or even go bowling at Hillcrest Bowling Lanes.

The Hilltop YMCA offers members an indoor swimming pool, gymnasium, weight room, fitness area, saunas, a climbing wall, playground, and soccer and baseball fields. The center also offers childcare, pre-school programs, and a variety of family and community events.
