Grand Portland is an older neighborhood but not one of the oldest. The homes are small and most of them were built in the late 1940s after the war.

Will Rogers Park is located in the Grand Portland neighborhood. This 122 acre park has something for just about everyone. There is a horticultural park that includes a magnificent 3000 specimen rose garden and the Ed Lycan Conservatory which was moved to this park from Douglas Park in 1936. It now houses an excellent cacti and succulent collection that was gifted to the park. Beyond this there are tennis courts, a senior center, a swimming pool, amphitheatre, picnic areas and disc golf. There are also athletic fields, three playgrounds and wonderful open and wooded spaces. This park is a true gem for all the residents of Oklahoma City.
