The neighborhood of Donelsonwood is located due east of downtown Nashville Tennessee. It is a small neighborhood consisting of one narrow street with small ranch homes many of which have additions. Interstate 40 is not far to the south, and beyond the interstate is Percy Priest Lake to the southeast.

Two Rivers Middle School, Stanford Montessori School, Donelson Christian Academy and Donelson Middle School are among the schools nearby to Donelsonwood.

Talk about a unique atmosphere for a restaurant — patrons at the Aquarium are surrounded by a 200,000-gallon tank filled with an extensive variety of fish, stingrays and sharks. The décor is “bottom of the sea” and they boast that their menu is “inventive.” They are located in the Opryland complex.

The Willie Nelson and Friends Museum and General Store has exhibits that honor legends such as Patsy Cline, Porter Wagoner, Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash, Mel Tillis, and, of course, Willie Nelson. There’s even a chance on any given day that Willie himself will be there.

Radnor Lake has several different hiking trails – each offering different scenery. It’s a great place to go for bird watching as several different species of birds including the Bald Eagle live around the lake.

The Parthenon is a full-scale replica of the one that existed in Athens, Greece in antiquity complete with a 42-foot statue of the goddess Athena.

The Wildhorse Saloon has a 3,300-square foot dance floor. On any given night, there will be music, and the music will either be live or from a DJ. Some of the top-name acts perform here. The friendly staff is available for dance lessons, if desired.
