Woodycrest is neighborhood in Nashville, Tennessee. Located in the northeastern region of Nashville, it is bordered by Foster Avenue on the east side and Interstate 440 on the south. Highway 31 is to the west and the Trevecca Nazarene University is to the north. The area is a mix of residential single family homes, apartments, businesses, and commercial properties. It is located in Davidson County with a population of under 1,000 people.

Nearby is Cumberland Park. Located just west of the neighborhood boundaries, the park is a popular gathering place and in 1910 was the site of the first night-time airplane take off. Iris Park and Dudley Park are also nearby. Another attraction in the Woodycrest neighborhood is the Lane Motor Museum. A former Sunbeam bakery and 132,000 square feet in size, the museum boasts the largest collection of European vehicles within the United States. The collection spans nearly a century and includes cars from 1920 to 2000. They include military vehicles, microcars, amphibious automobiles, alternative fuel vehicles, motorcycles and more.

The historic Mt Ararat Cemetery is located north of the neighborhood. It was founded in 1869 and became Nashville’s first African-American cemetery. While the interment records have been lost, volunteers have recovered nearly 400 names and further archeological investigation will be necessary to uncover more from the buried and over-turned headstones.

Woodycrest is located near many dining and shopping options. The nearby One Hundred Oaks Regional Shopping Mall features a Burlington Coat Factory, Ross, TJ Maxx, Pet Smart, Reebok and a Regal Cinemas Hollywood theater.
