Crossing is situated around the intersection of Northwest Freeway and Fairbanks North Houston Road. Founded in 1893, this area stayed largely rural until the mid-1900s. Houston annexed the neighborhood in 1956. Crossing is in the Lone Star College district, a large community college.
Just 13 miles northwest of downtown Houston Texas, Crossing is a family-oriented suburban community. It is near Cole Creek Park, Carverdale Park, and Freshmeadow Park. This rapidly-growing area has a large business area with restaurants, shops, and services located along Tidwell and Hollister Roads.
