The area of 1st Avenue North is the primary business district for this neighborhood and the surrounding vicinity. Here, one finds a selection of stores that includes a grocery store, an auto parts store, a TV and appliance store, and more.

Eastlake is home to Elks Lodge 79. This lodge stays actively involved in the community, with programs for veterans and for area youth.
