Highland Park Neighborhood

Highland Park is a charming neighborhood in the Southside part of Birmingham. It was formed in the 1880s, with the main street being Highland Avenue, which winds around three beautiful parks. The condominiums and homes along Highland Avenue are old and elegant, with many built in the 1920s.

Many of the buildings are fully renovated to include modern kitchens and bathrooms while retaining their charming characteristics, such as hardwood floors and crown molding. The area is scenic and ideal for jogging and walking. The three parks in the neighborhood are fun for picnicking or unwinding. As Highland Park is located at the base of Red Mountain, there are many hills stretching upward immediately upon leaving Highland Park, adding to the charm of the area. For those who enjoy golf, the pubic Highland Park Golf Course is nearby.

Highland Park is found in zip code 35205 and is located just blocks from Five Points South, the entertainment district of Birmingham known for its boutique stores, nightlife, and restaurants. Renowned restaurants Bottega and Highlands Bar & Grill are both within walking distance for many who live in Highland Park. Both serve outstanding cuisine and are great places to take visiting family and friends. Highland Park is also just minutes from downtown Birmingham, home to many businesses and the outstanding UAB medical facilities. For frequent business or pleasure travelers, Highland Park is just seven miles from the Birmingham International Airport.

Highland Park is a beautiful and exciting place to live. Its charm is undeniable, and it is located close to the hustle and bustle of the city. For those looking to invest in a home, Highland Park may be a great choice.
