Oak Ridge Park Neighborhood

Oak Ridge Park is a neighborhood in Birmingham, Alabama. Its borders are railroad tracks to the north, 62nd Street to the west, Interstate 20 to the east, and Crestwood Boulevard on the south. The zip code for Oak Ridge Park is 35212. The neighborhood’s major streets offer public transportation to its residents.

This is a neighborhood of strong contrasts. Some streets are very heavily wooded and others are not. Some older homes need updating, while other homes are modern with well manicured lawns. The area is quite steep and hilly, with very narrow streets and no sidewalks. Homes are designed in either bungalow or ranch styles.

Townhouse-style condos occupy the southern area of the neighborhood on Crest Green Road. While all the homes in the neighborhood are affordable, these newer townhouses, offering three bedrooms and two and a half baths, are a true bargain.

Brussels Circle is an entire street of townhouse style brick apartments. This part of the neighborhood offers both a playground and sidewalks. Other one, two, and three bedroom apartments occupy Crest Valley Way. The complex includes a swimming pool and playground. Pets under 25 pounds are also welcome.

There are plenty of places to eat in Oak Ridge Park. Restaurants include Hooters, Ryan’s, Applebee’s, Olive Garden, Red Lobster and Chick-Fil-A. There are also local eateries. When it comes to shopping, the Eastwood Festival Center offers retailers like Home Depot, Burlington Coat Factory, Food $mart, and Dollar Tree. The Edge Theater brings 12 movie screens to the area.
