Armory Park Neighborhood

The Tucson, Arizona neighborhood of Armory Park is known for its historic homes. Many of the homes here were built prior to 1940 and represent a major part of the early history of Tucson. The neighborhood is located within the 85701 zip code and is located south of 12th Street, north of 19th Street, and east of Stone Avenue.

One of the biggest draws to the area is Davis Montham Air Force Base, which is a little over a mile to the southeast of Armory Park. This moderately sized air force base is an economic boon to the surrounding neighborhoods, as military personnel eat, shop, and spend leisure time in the communities where they serve. Many personnel also live outside of the base in areas such as Armory Park. Local demographics include college educated residents as well as young singles and a few families.

Those looking for a recreational opportunities need only drive about a mile to the east to the Randolph Municipal Golf Course. This massive course is easily the largest in the immediate area and one of the most popular. For a municipal course it is top notch and very well maintained. It is frequented by players of all skill levels and offers a professional shop and golf pros on staff.

The Reffkin Tennis Center and Randolph Recreation Center is connected to the Randolph Municipal Golf Course. The tennis center is home to one of the largest tennis programs in the area and features lessons, league play, and even tournaments.
