Ironwood Ridges apartments for rent

With its winding sidewalks and well-kept landscapes, Ironwood Ridges offers residents a slow-paced rural haven. Homes in the western section of this well-established community have views of native desert terrain.

Home designs in Ironwood Ridges tend toward Territorial-style houses built in the late 1970s and 1980s. Ironwood Ridges encompasses zip code 85745. The community is bounded by West Ironwood Hill Drive on the north, West Ironwood Ridge Drive on the east and south, and North Greasewood Road on the west. The majority of the neighborhood consists of single-family homes, but there are a few commercial buildings, such as eateries, shops, and service establishments.

Of the many appealing aspects of Ironwood Ridges is Juhan Park, which sits outside of the neighborhood to the northeast. The park has playground and picnic areas and offers hiking and biking opportunities. To the southeast of the community is Joaquin Murrieta Northwest Park, which has baseball fields, a swimming pool, and shaded areas for picnicking. Next to the park is the El Rio Golf Course, which was built in the 1930s as a private country club. In 1968, the city of Tucson purchased the club and made it into a public golf course. The site was the original location for the Tucson Open. The course has a flat terrain, two scenic lakes, and many trees.

For the safety and convenience of area residents, St. Mary’s Carondelet Hospital lies not too far south of the golf course. This is Arizona’s first hospital, which celebrated their 130th anniversary in 2010. The facility was founded in 1880 and is the only hospital on Tucson’s west side.
