Costa Mesa is a coastal gem – this Southern California city is situated along some of the West Coast’s most famous beaches, including Huntington Beach and Newport Beach. Sandwiched between the Santa Ana River and Upper Newport Bay, Costa Mesa is nearly surrounded by water. Costa Mesa apartments place you near Costa Mesa Golf Course, Orange Coast College, and John Wayne Airport. Living in Costa Mesa, you’ll have access to I-405 and Highway 55 for easy commutes throughout Orange County.

Shopping in Costa Mesa is fantastic, especially at South Coast Plaza. This upscale shopping center offers about 250 shops, with anchor stores that include Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Bloomingdales. This mall has a high concentration of designer stores, including Tiffany & Co, Hermes, Chanel, Dior, Jimmy Choo, Giorgio Armani, Diane von Furstenberg, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Versace, Fendi, and Burberry.

After an afternoon of shopping, spend the evening enjoying the symphony or the orchestra at Segerstrom Center for the Arts. The building alone is a work of art, designed by award-winning architect Cesar Pelli. The center contains a 46,000-square-foot Art Plaza, the Judy Morr Theater, the Samueli Theater, the Renee and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall, and the 3,000-seat Segerstrom Hall. The Pacific Amphitheatre hosts concerts during the Orange County Fair. The fairgrounds are adjacent to the amphitheater. The 150-acre OC Fair and Event Center is also home to the Costa Mesa Speedway and Centennial Farm.

In addition to the wildly popular Orange County Fair, you’ll find plenty of fun things to do when you move to your new apartment in Costa Mesa. The annual Fish Fry and Carnival is held at Fairview Park and includes food, entertainment, rides, and games. The annual Concerts in the Park series includes activities for kids, a beer and wine garden, and other activities.
