After hearing the echoes of those long-ago guests at the hotel, be sure to visit the Helms Bakery District. This fantastic destination is home to a variety of restaurants and shops, and at the heart of the district is the Helms Bakery, which operated from 1931 to 1969. Today, the bakery hosts art events, the annual Sunset Cinema series, and a wide variety of special events.
