Summit Heights Neighborhood

The Summit Heights neighborhood in Fontana, California is located in the foothills above Fontana. This newer upscale development of single-family homes is in zip code 92336. It is bordered on the north by Summit Avenue. The southern border is Interstate 210. San Sevaine Road is the western border and Lytle Creek Road is the eastern.

This planned community has its own retail center with major department stores and restaurants. Beech Avenue Elementary School and the Rosena Park are part of this neighborhood, as is a smaller pocket park with a playground for the children.

Summit High School borders this community and is within walking distance for many of the children. Fontana Park is adjacent to the high school and has an aquatic center with a lap pool, a “training” pool for smaller children and water features. The park also has an off-leash dog park and a skate park with three bowls for performing 360-degree loops. The children’s play areas unique playground equipment including giant ladybugs and a sunken ship. The community center offers fitness classes in its state-of-the-art gym, and also features a computer lab.

It is six miles to downtown Fontana and nine miles to the Ontario Mills Mall. Ontario Mills is an enormous shopping center with dining and shopping galore. The theater features multiple screens, and there are many satellite stores in the area. This mall is within easy reach for the residents of the Summit Heights neighborhood, as Interstate 210 crosses Interstate 15 at the border of the community, and the mall is nine miles to the south.

The view of the valley and the mountains in the distance add to the reasons residents choose to live in the Summit Heights neighborhood.
