Vintage Park is located just across the Seal Slough to the east of downtown San Mateo, California. San Mateo is on the western shore of San Francisco Bay and is one of the larger suburbs of San Francisco.

Vintage Park is primarily a vast office park with various sub-districts. There is also a residential area made up of higher-end condos and townhouses, and a golf course on the northern edge of the neighborhood. It is bordered by the Seal Slough to the west, State Route 92 to the south and San Francisco Bay to the north. State Route 101 is nearby to the west.

Schools nearby to Vintage Park include Parkside Elementary School, Audubon Elementary School, Bowditch Middle School, and All Are Friends Montessori School. The Marin Day School campus is in the northern area of Vintage Park, just to the south of the golf course.

There are many restaurants in the southern part of Vintage Park. These include Harry’s Hofbrau, The Clubhouse Bistro, Black Angus Steakhouse, BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse, and Armadillo Willy’s.

Not far to the northwest of Vintage Park is the Coyote Point Recreation Area. Activities here include picnicking, swimming, windsurfing, fishing, boating, sailing, jogging, and bicycling. There is also a castle and dragon-themed playground for the kids. The Poplar Creek Golf Club, the Coyote Point Yacht Club, and a rifle and pistol range surround the park.

Also in Coyote Point is CuriOdyssey at Coyote Point. This museum has science and wildlife exhibits, wildlife programs, and school-based and public education programs. Summer camps, shows, and family events are regular features.
