The Belmont Shore neighborhood is a suburb of Long Beach, in zip code 90803. This charming community of affluent homes and multifamily dwellings is bordered on the north by East Appian Way and on the south by East Ocean Boulevard. The eastern border is North Marine Drive, and East Livingston Drive is the western boundary. Part of the neighborhood is an island, surrounded by Alamitos Bay. There are schools within the neighborhood.
There are several parks on the water, the most well-known being “Mother’s Beach” (Marine Park). Children can play at the edge of the bay in calm water. The park offers picnic areas and play structures for children. The Bayshore Aquatic Playground Park is just down the street from Mother’s Beach, and features handball, paddle tennis and racquetball courts, as well as kayak rentals and picnic areas. Nearby Recreational Park Golf Course is popular with the locals.
For additional shopping, The Marketplace Shopping Center and the Marina Shores Shopping Center have major stores and chain restaurants. However, it might not be necessary with all the shopping in the center of Belmont Shore. With bike paths clearly marked on the streets and the picturesque 1920’s homes and cottages, the Belmont Shore neighborhood is an ideal place to call home.
