Menlo Oaks Neighborhood

Menlo Oaks is a neighborhood in Menlo Park, California, in the 94025 zip code. The boundaries of the neighborhood are Willow Road on the east, Bay Road on the north, Middlefield Road on the south, and Ringwood Avenue on the west. This is a beautiful neighborhood with a wide variety of home styles and sizes. Some homes are behind gates while others are smaller one-story homes. It is an older, established neighborhood with a historic feel. There are lots of trees and even some large palm trees lining the streets. The neighborhood is quiet, and walking on the street is enjoyable.

Menlo-Atherton High School is located on the west side of Ringwood Avenue. It is a public high school and has received a distinguished rating from Great Schools. Not only are the academics superior, the extracurricular activities are exceptional as well. Four languages are taught at this school — German, French, Spanish, and Latin.

The Peninsula School is a private school located in the neighborhood. It offers classes to children from nursery school through eighth grade. The school was founded more than 80 years ago, and has a lovely oak-filled, 6-acre campus. Emphasis on the individual child is an important part of the education here.

Laurel School is a public school in Menlo Oaks that offers classes from pre-K through second grade. The school has received a distinguished rating from Great Schools.

Willow Oaks is a small park adjacent to the neighborhood. Packed into the park are tennis courts, an off-leash dog area, playgrounds, and an open field.

Residents have choices when it comes to grocery shopping. There is both a Trader Joe’s, and a Safeway within walking distance. Willow Road has a selection of fast food, and dine-in restaurants.
