Midtown Neighborhood

Funky, arty, and diverse — Midtown is a jumble of colorful artists, musicians, history, and culture. This bike and pedestrian-friendly neighborhood contains everything from upscale loft apartments to elegant Victorians. Bike lanes run throughout the neighborhood and connect to the 32-mile American River Bike trail. Light rail serves the area, as well.

This area, popular with artists, has a monthly art walk. Art galleries, unique boutiques, restaurants and bistros, coffee houses and bars all exist in this popular neighborhood. Midtown is sandwiched between Downtown and East Sacramento. It is the location of Sutter’s Fort State Historic Park, a park that features an adobe built in the 1840s.
