Westlake Neighborhood

The Westlake neighborhood is located in Natomas, which is the northernmost and newest neighborhood of Sacramento. This area was developed over the past 10 years, and has rapidly added to Sacramento’s reputation for having the most trees per person in America. Built during the 2000s, the north Natomas area is known as one of the most meticulously planned and state-of-the-art communities in the country.

Westlake consists of five gated communities that are built around the lagoons of a large man-made lake. The neighborhood is bounded by Interstate Highway 5 to the north and east, Del Paso Road to the south, and farmland to the west. This neighborhood is in the 95835 zip code. In addition to the lake, Westwood offers a a community center, swimming pool, tennis court, volleyball court, and bike trails and parks.

The prestigious Natomas Pacific Pathways Prep School and the Natomas Charter School, for grades K through 12, are to the south on Del Paso Road.

Most shopping and banking options are at beautiful, new shopping centers that lie within a few miles of Westlake. The premium Bel Air market is on Arena Boulevard at Natomas Central Drive. Going east on Del Paso, there is a large shopping center with a Safeway superstore. Farther along at Del Paso and Natomas Boulevard is a Raleys shopping center that is anchored by a Kohls department store and more. Natomas Boulevard south leads to two more major shopping and business centers.

Downtown Sacramento and Old Sacramento are minutes away to the southeast. The University of California at Davis and California State University at Sacramento are easy commutes. The San Francisco Bay area is about two hours to the west, and the ski and recreational country is two hours to the east.
