This recently built space was designed to replace the traditional 1 bedroom apartment in order to provide a more affordable and sustainable living alternative in the City. When you open the entry door, you are illuminated by large floor to ceiling windows running 9' tall. The space includes a full size custom kitchen, washer and dryer, large bathroom, and extensive storage over the kitchen cabinets to maximize functionality. The interior living area is 455 square feet and this unit also has an exterior deck area outside the front door. The bed niche tucks away the bed completely into a efficient bedroom area. There is walking area to the side of a queen bed, a phone charging niche, and a curtain track above to privatize the bed space, creating all the benefits of a one bedroom in a more efficiently planned space. Amenities include Google Fiber Webpass, BBQ and lounge space, storage Units, central heating and air, and a 1 block walk to many shops including Whole Foods, Trader Joes, and many tasty food and drink establishments. We are a short 1 mile walk to Balboa Park and the Zoo and only a 2 block walk to a nice little canyon walk for the furry friends. Most importantly, Cayuca offers a place to live with a smaller carbon footprint. Our spaces require less resources to build, heat and cool and solar provides some of the buildings power needs. Our location minimizes the need to use gas and incentivizes walking and biking. These tiny shifts in our daily life will help to rebuild a more sustainable community.
