The park is managed by the Port of San Francisco and is a birder’s paradise. Hunters Point residents enjoy its paths for walking, biking, and pushing a stroller. Even dogs on a leash are welcome. Signs in the park explain the flora and the fauna, and it is not unusual to spot seals in the water.

A short drive takes residents to the Trader Joe’s on 9th Street when they need to shop for groceries.
