Apartments for Rent in Blossom River
San Jose at a Glance
Blossom River Neighborhood
Situated as it is between Oakridge Mall and the Los Alamitos Percolation Ponds, there is perhaps no better combination of great shopping and beautiful views than are available in the Blossom River neighborhood. The San Jose Atrium is at the center of Blossom River, while stores predominate throughout the entire community.
You can see almost nothing but storefronts all along Blossom River Drive, which lies right next to the water, and the stores just get more numerous when you look to the other sides of the neighborhood, such as Blossom Hill Road to the south and Winfield Boulevard to the east – which shares a border with Oakridge Mall.
Very few people live in Blossom River due to its lack of residential housing and the high cost of even the few low-income apartment buildings that are there, but its desirability makes it a popular destination for residents from all over San Jose, so there is never a lack of people in the community.
There is always one civic event or another being held in the area, whether it is a parade down Blossom River Way or a potluck gathering at the San Jose Atrium. It isn’t uncommon to see Silicon Valley bigshots strolling about in the community, nor is it uncommon to see morning joggers and dog-walkers going back and forth on the prime waterfront. Additionally, it can be argued that every day is a holiday when it comes to Oakridge Mall, which houses some of the best stores in the entire city.
Less than a half-mile south of Blossom River is Almaden Lake Park, along with the Boulder Ridge Golf Club and Guadalupe Oak Grove Park. There is perhaps no better place in the city for someone to relax and just enjoy the view, whether you aim to look at nature’s grandeur or the top tier shopping opportunities just across the street.
