Branham Neighborhood

Branham is a neighborhood aptly named for Branham Lane, which also serves as its northern border. The neighborhood is very family-friendly, with high-ranking schools, parks, and recreation centers nearby. Branham is a primarily residential neighborhood, consisting of mostly single-family, detached homes. Guadalupe Parkway and West Valley Freeway provide easy access to the greater San Jose area for neighborhood residents.

The neighborhood is dog-friendly and dog owners walking their pets along the tree-lined residential streets are a common sight. The nearest dog park, Almaden Lake Park, is two miles south of Branham, a very quick commute if you don’t mind driving, but too far for a quick walk. Once you’re there, however, it is hard to find a more picturesque dog park than this one.

Park Sean is a half-mile west of the neighborhood. Vista Park is the closest large park to the neighborhood, located a bit more than half a mile east of Branham. Golfland, a water park and theme park located just a mile to the south of the neighborhood, provides entertainment to residents and tourists alike. Among the attractions offered are miniature golf, a bumper boat lagoon, lazer tag, and a Fastcar Raceway.

The Branham neighborhood is well-served by both private and public schools. Nearby schools include Holy Family School, Clement School, Gunderson, and Terrell School. Kids Park by Oakridge Mall and Kidango: Chynoweth give kids a great head start in preschool.

Many cultural and tourist attractions also are easily accessible for Branham residents. Portraits in Black is a photographic museum that is only a mile southwest of the neighborhood. It offers exhibits, lectures, and workshops. The Hellenic Heritage Museum is four miles north of Branham, while the Children’s Discovery Museum of San Jose is less than five miles to its north.
