Parkview Neighborhood

Living in San Jose is all well and good, but most of northern San Jose is just too packed for some people. That’s why many have chosen to go to the far south side of San Jose to live in Parkview, a neighborhood for those who want to be near San Jose, but nearer still to the watered areas south of the city.

Living all the way south at the corner of West Valley Freeway and Guadalupe Parkway, the residents of Parkview can still gain easy access to central San Jose. With numerous parks within easy walking distance, the residents of Parkview have the best of both worlds.

Vista Park is the closest park. Although it has no waterfront, it still allows citizens to relax without too much trouble. Yet those who are willing to make the very short three-quarters of a mile drive south will be able to fully experience the best of San Jose. Almaden Lake is perhaps the most amazing body of water in all of San Jose, and the park surrounding it is definitely one of the best available. The different accommodations available at the waterfront parks are definitely something to see and experience for yourself.

If you prefer a more active experience, the Boulder Ridge Golf Club might be for you. If so, you’ll be glad to know that by living in Parkview, you will be almost next door to the golf course.

Schools in the area are particularly good. Parkview Elementary School and Valley Christian High School are two standouts in the area that have a favorable reputation among community parents. If you have children and are looking to move into this area, the schools of Parkview may be enough all on their own to convince you to move into Parkview proper.
