Trade Winds Neighborhood
Located in the picturesque greater San Jose area, Trade Winds is a small residential and business community. It is bordered to the south by Blossom Hill Road and to the north by Tradewinds Drive. Snell Avenue serves as the western border of the neighborhood. Judith Street borders it to the east.
Most of the homes in Trade Winds are single-family, detached houses. There are, however, a multitude of house styles. From ranch-style, single-floor homes to large, sprawling homes to mobile homes, this neighborhood just may show newer residents home styles they have not seen before.
There are many parks that surround Trade Winds, even though there aren’t any in the neighborhood itself. Miner Park is closer than a mile southeast of the community. Other nearby parks within two miles are Cahalan Park, Calero Park, Comanche Park, Vista Park, La Colina Park, and Foothill Park.
However, the biggest park in the area is Almaden Lake Park. It’s less than three miles from Trade Winds and has boating opportunities, hiking and biking trails, a beach portion, and picnic tables. It has a paved trail that runs 0.6 miles.
Many popular stores are located right in Trade Winds along Snell Avenue, including Michael’s Arts and Crafts, as well as the Dollar Tree. Restaurants in or within walking distance of the neighborhood include Pizza Hut, Super Eggroll Restaurant, Tomo Sushi, Pho My, Arby’s, and Mountain Mike’s Pizza.
Cultural activities are also nearby. Portraits in Black, an art museum, is less than three miles west of the Trade Winds community. The Children’s Discovery Museum of San Jose is one of the best museums in California and is only six miles from Trade Winds.
