Yerba Buena was San Francisco’s original name until California became a United States territory in 1848. This massive, 156-acre San Jose park is within easy walking distance of anywhere in the community. Its Japanese Friendship Garden is inviting for all ages. It features fish, and the ducks will come right up to visitors in a friendly manner.
A major attraction for resident families within Kelley Park is the Happy Hollow Park & Zoo. Worthwhile cultural attractions at the park include the Portuguese Historical Museum and a history park. There’s even a family circle area of the park that can be reserved for barbecues, gatherings, or outdoor parties.
