La Terraza Neighborhood

The La Terraza neighborhood is located in Torrance, California. La Terraza is bordered by Sepulveda Boulevard on the south, Carson Street on the north, Madrona Avenue on the west, and Crenshaw Boulevard on the east. The city of Torrance is part of the South Bay of Los Angeles County, and is situated only a few miles from the Pacific Ocean and a number of California beaches.

Residents of La Terraza can enjoy a number of local parks, which include Torrance Park, Hickory Park, Wilson Park, El Prado Park, and the Madrona Marsh Nature Preserve. Hiking and camping is available for those who are willing to travel north through Los Angeles County to the San Gabriel Mountains.

Entertainment options are plentiful in the South Bay area. Those who enjoy golf can check out the Harbor Park Golf Course, the Palo Verdes Country Club, and the Rolling Hills Country Club. Various shopping opportunities can be found at the South Bay Galleria, the Del Amo Fashion Center, the Eastgate Plaza, and the Alpine Village Shopping Center.

Watching sports is a popular activity in Southern California. The Dodgers play baseball at Dodger Stadium, which is located just north of downtown Los Angeles. In addition, residents can enjoy the Lakers and Clippers as they play basketball at Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles. Also at Staples Center, the Los Angeles Kings play professional hockey.
