Ralston Valley Neighborhood

Located in the foothills northwest of Denver, Ralston Valley is a small neighborhood in Jefferson County. Named for Ralston Valley Park, the community is bounded by West 69th Avenue on the north, North Eldridge Street on the west, West 69th Avenue on the south, and Beech Street on the east. It is 15 miles from downtown Denver, and minutes from the nearby suburb of Arvada.

Children here can attend Stott Elementary School, Faith Christian Academy, Oberon Middle School, and Ralston Valley High School. For college students, it’s just four miles to Red Rocks Community College.

The community’s biggest feature is its namesake park, a 12-acre creek-side preserve with picnic tables and a children’s playground. The park is bisected by Ralston Creek Trail, a path for pedestrians, hikers, bicyclists, skateboarders, and equestrian riders that runs through most of Arvada. It is one of many trails in the area. A few blocks north, the Apex Parks and Recreation Center houses a 23,000-square-foot aquatics center and ice arena, with three gyms, group fitness classes, and children’s play area. Nearby Moon Gulch Park features a baseball field and tennis courts.

Popular local attractions include the Westwoods Center of Performing Arts and the Cussler Museum, a collection of rare automobiles. Residents are within walking or biking distance of a number of stores and chain restaurants at the Arvada West Town Center. It’s a short drive east to more shopping centers, a bowling alley, and several movie theaters.

The Ralson Valley neighborhood boasts miles of trails, numerous parks, and a convenient location next to a wide variety of amenities.
