Green Mountain Neighborhood

Green Mountain is a beautiful and picturesque residential region located in Lakewood, Colorado southeast of the Denver Metropolitan area. Residents of Green Mountain can take part in a variety of outdoor activities in the adventurous Colorado parks and enjoy the wonderful view of Ravines Open Space in their own backyard. Green Mountain is just the place for one who desires to live in a more rural area with lots of open space, clean air, and green scenery.

There is a fair amount of shopping in the area such as the Market Square Shopping Center, Green Mountain Plaza Shopping Center, and the Foothills Shopping Center, all north of Green Mountain. There are plenty of fast food restaurants in the area like Sonic Drive-In and Dairy Queen as well as sit down restaurants like the Mountain View Café and Frontroom Pizza.

Recreational activities in the area include the Green Mountain Recreation Center, open daily with amenities such as group fitness classes, tennis courts, swimming, racquetball, and an indoor jogging track. Bear Creek Golf Club, just a short drive south of Green Mountain, is a private golf club with the “company of gentlemen golfers.” Other recreational resorts in the area include the Lakewood Country Club and the Green Gables Country Club both to the west of Green Mountain.

The largest park in the area which is within close proximity for the residents of Green Mountain is the William F Hayden Green Mountain Park. The park has over 2,000 acres of open space for family get-togethers and the summit at almost 7,000 feet has a fantastic view of the Denver Metropolitan area. There is a wide variety of wildlife and it is a highly valued park in the area. South of the Green Mountain Park is the Iron Spring Park as well as dozens of other parks in the Green Mountain area.
