He built this beautiful house, which included steam heat in 1906 for his wife Lucy. It cost him $4,000. She operated it as a boarding house for single female school teachers. It was subdivided into apartments in the Great Depression in 1927. We purchased the grand old property from the Krebs family who had owned it for over 100 years. We are completing a full renovation and have remodeled the property for the first time since 1927. All the floors are beautifully restored straight grain hardwood. Bedrooms have blackout curtains for the travel professionals on night shift.
