The neighborhood of Sky View is located to the northwest of downtown Pueblo, Colorado, and is to the southeast of Colorado Springs. The homes in Sky View are one-story, small- to medium-sized ranchers. Uniquely shaped Juniper trees, as well as other types of trees, dot the area. Interstate 25 is close by to the east, and State Route 47 is just to the north.

Centennial High School, Pueblo West Middle School, W. H. Heaton Middle School, and East High School are among the schools serving the area in and around Sky View.

Another feature of surrounding areas of Sky View are the many apartment buildings, including the Landing at Eagleridge, Kona Kai Apartments, and Villas at Parkwest.

Just one of the numerous fine eating establishments in Pueblo is the popular Shamrock Brewing Company, which is a great combination of Irish Pub, restaurant, and brewery.

Pueblo is steeped in history. The Arkansas River, which flows through Pueblo, used to be the border between the old United States and Mexico. Bat Masterson was once the law in old historic South Pueblo. There are many museums here that chronicle the history of this area. More recently, Pueblo has been found to be the home of 36 Medal of Honor winners – the most by far of any other city in the United States. A memorial can be found here that honors these brave heroes.

Culture and Performing Arts is also a passion here. The Pueblo Art Guild Gallery, the Impossible Playhouse, the Sangre de Cristo Arts and Conference Center, and the Damon Runyon Repertory Theatre offers opportunities to experience children’s theatre, comedy shows, Shakespeare, dance, symphonic events, and educational opportunities.
