It was built in 1927 by industrialist Alfred I. Dupont. Fishing at nearby Plummers Cove is a quick and easy way to drop a line, and Pickwick Park is a popular destination for area families. Pickwick Park has playground equipment for younger children, two pavilions with picnic tables and grills, a large climbing boulder, two small rock-climbing boulders and an adult fitness trail featuring 10 fitness stations.
Families flock to Beauclerc for its top-notch schools. Beauclerc Elementary, DuPont Middle School and Wolfson High School are highly rated, and the prestigious Bolle’s School (San Jose campus), founded in 1933 and serving grades 9-12, is located in the area.
For shopping, many residents head to the Mandarin Landing Shopping Center and Courtyard Shopping Center.
