Colony Cove Neighborhood

Jacksonville, Florida, named after General Andrew Jackson, is the thirteenth largest city in the United States. Jacksonville boasts a bustling downtown, top-notch medical facilities, major universities, and coastal beaches.

Throughout this historic city, there are more than 300 city parks and playgrounds, state parks, and many picturesque neighborhoods.

Just south of the winding St. John’s River and north of Fort Caroline Road is the neighborhood of Colony Cove. Part of the 32277 zip code in Duval County, Colony Cove includes the streets of Buckskin Trail, Colony Cove Trail, Trails End, Townsend Boulevard, Shady Lane, and Arrow Point Trail. This residential neighborhood is a mixture of homes from modest to upscale. The lots are lush, and many are large with established trees and landscaping.

Residents of Colony Cove are less than five miles from the Mill Cove Golf Club, a 71-par course designed by the legendary Arnold Palmer. Nearby city parks include Victory, Arlington, Sunny Acres, Parkwood Heights, Arlingwood Playground and Memorial Park.

With its central location, Colony Cove has easy access to Big Talbot Island State Park, Pumpkin Hill Creek Preserve State Park, and the Naval Station Mayport. The coastal beaches, including Jacksonville Beach, are less than 15 miles away and accessible through the JTA city bus system. Colony Cove residents can take advantage of the Arlington Community Shuttle, a neighborhood system that offers riders quick access to local shopping venues, the library, post office, and more.

Jacksonville’s downtown area is about twenty minutes from Colony Cove. There is plenty to see and do, including touring Anheuser-Busch Brewery, visiting the Jacksonville Maritime Museum, and enjoying shopping and dining at the Riverwalk area. Near the Riverwalk is Friendship Park, home to one of the world’s tallest fountains.
