Fort Caroline Shores Neighborhood

Central to the neighborhood’s identity is the Fort Caroline National Memorial, which sits on the northwest border of the community. Situated near the intersection of Monument Road and Fort Caroline Road, the memorial is one of Jacksonville’s most important historic attractions. The Fort was initially intended as a refuge for the Huguenots and memorializes the French presence in Florida. The complex is administered by the National Park Service.
