New Town is a neighborhood in Jacksonville, Florida. The neighborhood is part of the 32209 zip code and located west of Interstate 95 and south of Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway. Homes in the area are somewhat older with a wide variety of housing styles. The course itself is made for the younger golfers, allowing them to learn without the frustration of playing on a course made for adults.
On the west side of First Tee is a major recreation area, part of the Clanzel Brown Senior Center. This area has numerous tennis courts used by area trainers and for general play. There is also a baseball field, swimming pool, and playground area for younger children. The senior center has a number of offerings, as well, focused on keeping seniors active and healthy. The center offers a number of enrichment programs for senior fitness and provides classes on topics such as computer usage.
