Oceanway Neighborhood

Located just north of the San Mateo neighborhood, Oceanway is contained by New Berlin Road on the north and east, Main Street North on the west, and Eastport Road and Faye Road on the South. Oceanway, along with the nearby neighborhoods of New Berlin and Yellow Bluff, is among the faster growing areas of the city.

Location is key to Oceanway’s rapid growth pattern. It’s located less than a 10-minute drive from Jacksonville International Airport, a few minutes from the Anheuser Busch Brewery, and has easy access to I-95 and I-295, which intersect in the area.

Many of Oceanway’s residents shop at River City Marketplace, where a Lowe’s and Wal-Mart are the anchor stores. Located south of Airport Road on the east side of Interstate 95, the 125-acre shopping complex also has a 14-screen movie theater. A sizeable number of Oceanway’s residents are young and active and you’ll see lots of them on weekends walking the aisles of Gander Mountain, an expansive sporting goods store specializing in outdoor gear like camping equipment, canoes, kayaks, and hiking apparel.

On Friday and Saturday nights, the chain restaurants in the River City Marketplace area, such as Olive Garden, Red Lobster, Cracker Barrel, and Chili’s, are jammed with Oceanway, New Berlin, and Yellow Bluff residents.

If you want a great slice of pizza, Oceanway is a prime spot in the city with places like Big Daddy’s Pizza, Zac’s Pizza, Boston’s Pizza, Renna’s Pizza and Luigi’s By Regis Pizza Inc. offering top-notch variations of the Italian favorite.

Oceanway’s residents have access to Oceanway Center Park and Pool at 12215 Sago Avenue, which has amenities like two lighted basketball courts, nine picnic tables, a paved trail and 25 benches.
