Kissimmee, FL Apartments for Rent

First things first: before you move to an apartment in Kissimmee, it’s important to know how to pronounce it! The emphasis is on the middle part, not the “kiss:” ke-SIM-ee. The name isn’t a request for a smooch – it comes from a Native American word for “long water.”

When you think, “Kissimmee,” you might automatically think, “Disney World.” And while Kissimmee is home to the “happiest place on earth,” there are many attractions in Kissimmee including Sea World, Universal Studios, and Islands of Adventure. Located in Osceola County south of Orlando, you’ll feel like you’re on vacation all the time when you rent a Kissimmee apartment!

Disney Village, located off 535, offers great restaurants, including the Rainforest Cafe and Dinosaur World. Plus, what child wouldn’t want to visit Legoland and play all day long? Go to the movies with your family, visit Cirque de Soleil, Virgin Records, or the House of Blues — everything is so accessible, fun is right outside your doorstep.

If you’ve never been to Kissimmee, you’re missing out on the celebration of the Silver Spurs Rodeo Day. Plus, there are various festivals and parades throughout the year. Maybe you’d like to take an airboat ride across Lake Tohopekaliga and go fishing for the day. You might prefer miniature golf or taking a stroll through the local flea market. Once it gets dark, visit Old Town where you can shop, eat, listen to music, and check out the car show.

Kissimmee is in Central Florida, about an hour to either coast. And while you may decide to spend the day at the beach, there’s plenty of outdoor recreation in Kissimmee, as well. Take an airboat ride or a Kissimmee Swamp Tour, spend some time relaxing at Kissimmee Lakefront Park, or head to Forever Florida for some adrenaline-filled zip-lining. If you enjoy a view from above, head to Orland Tree Trek Adventure, which contains Giant Zip lines, Tarzan swings, nets, suspended bridges, and more. This elevated obstacle course is set 10 to 60 feet above the ground in a pine forest.

Historic Downtown Kissimmee is a fantastic destination – you’ll probably find yourself here often after moving to a Kissimmee apartment, enjoying the shops and restaurants, catching an event at the Toho Square pedestrian plaza and stage, or enjoying the gorgeous architecture as you stroll along the pedestrian-friendly streets. Toho Square is also the location of the Kissimmee Valley Farmer’s Market, and events in Downtown Kissimmee include the Sculpture Pub Crawl, a Food Truck Bazaar, the Kissimmee Sculpture Experience, and more.

Many sports teams use Kissimmee as their training field. The ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, which is located in the Lake Buena Vista Area, houses several teams — such as the Atlanta Braves — for spring training. This arena also holds gymnastics competitions, cheerleading, and other sporting events.

A beautiful, historic downtown … the world’s favorite theme parks … zip-lining adventures … boating and fishing … trips to the beach … and endless sunshine. What are you waiting for? Isn’t it time to find your apartment in Kissimmee?
