Monarch Lakes Neighborhood

Monarch Lakes is a gated community situated in the city of Miramar, Florida. It is close to I-75, I-595, the Florida Turnpike, and other major roads. A number of nearby features create a desirable community.

Attractions are plentiful around the Monarch Lakes neighborhood. Ft. Lauderdale boasts such attractions as the Jungle Queen Riverboat, Museum of Discovery and Science; AutoNation IMAX 3D Theater, Broward Center for the Performing Arts, and the Bonnet House Museum and Gardens.

Sports fans can watch professional games from the nearby stadiums. Local franchises include the Florida Panthers, Miami Dolphins, Miami Heat, and Florida Marlins.

Rsidents shop at many nearby stores, including those at the Pembroke Lakes Mall or the Pembroke Gardens shopping area. Local stores include Publix, Target, and Costco. There are also numerous popular restaurants, such as the Macaroni Grill and Pines Ale House.

Residents of Monarch Lakes enjoy many outdoor activities. The Miramar Regional Park features playgrounds, an aquatic center, and more. C.B. Smith Park and Tree Tops Park are other local parks. Hollywood Beach is not far from the community and provides free music several days a week, as well as popular restaurants and hotspots.

Monarch Lakes is served by the Broward County School District. Students attend Coconut Palm Elementary School, New Renaissance Middle School, and Everglades High School. There are also a number of private schools in the area.

For convenience, there are many local medical offices and the expansive Memorial Hospital Miramar nearby.
