Beacon Lakes Neighborhood

Beacon Lakes is a neighborhood in New Port Richey, Florida, which lies just west of Highway 19. The neighborhood consists of single-family homes and condominiums. The quiet streets around the homes are great for walking dogs or jogging. The condominiums have a community pool, clubhouse, and game room.

Residents will find Orange Lake just six minutes from Beacon Lakes. The lake was originally believed to be a sink hole in the late 1800s, but after a golf course was constructed in the 1920s, the lake became a popular local attraction. The golf course was short-lived, and in 1935 the city decided to use the area as a park.

Pasco County public schools include Mittye P. Locke Elementary School, Seven Springs Middle School, and James W. Mitchell High School. Children can attend several private institutions in the area such as Elfers Christian School, New Port Richey Seventh-Day Adventist School, and the Rainbow Tree Christian School. College students can attend Pasco-Hernando Community College.

Hudson Beach has a marina, white sandy shorelines, plenty of restaurants and shopping, as well as fishing spots. Visitors also can surf, sail, or go shelling.

With Tampa only an hour away, residents easily can attend a Tampa Bay Buccaneers game, or go to one of the many major league baseball team spring training games. For those wanting to see a play or show, the David A. Straz Center for the Performing Arts has weekend matinees and evening performances.
