North of Pershing off of Woodgate Boulevard is the Ventura Country Club. This large area country club is home to one of the largest golf courses in the area. The course is quite popular with residents from the surrounding area and is well maintained. The course also has a pro shop with helpful staff who are able to assist with questions about the course and the game of golf.
Ventura Golf Club isn’t just for golfing. It is a great place to play tennis, as well. The club has four tennis courts that are used for individual lessons, league play, and even tournaments. Leagues are set up for a variety of different age groups and skill levels. The courts are in regular use throughout the year and are a highly popular part of the club. The club also has a lap pool used for lap swimming, water aerobics, and of course, swimming lessons. A fitness center rounds out the offerings of the club.
