Williamsburg Neighborhood

The neighborhood of Williamsburg, Florida is located to the south-southeast of downtown Orlando. SeaWorld Orlando borders Williamsburg to the west, and Walt Disney World is just a couple of minutes away to the southwest across Interstate 4.

The east-west State Route 528 neatly bisects Williamsburg in the middle. The homes to the north of Route 528 are fairly modern, medium-sized, single-story dwellings on well laid-out streets with lots of cul-de-sacs. To the south of Route 528, the home sizes and types vary and are more contemporary.

Some of the schools serving Williamsburg include Freedom High School, Freedom Middle School, and Freedom Creek Middle School.

Williamsburg is conveniently located to all of central Florida’s major attractions. To the northeast is Universal Orlando, to the southeast is Walt Disney World, and next door to the east is SeaWorld Orlando. To the north is downtown Orlando.

Orlando is primarily known for its theme parks, but there is much more to enjoy here. There are many casual as well as classy restaurants, museums, shops, and nightclubs.

The Performing Arts is also a special feature here with several places hosting live theatre, dance, and comedy shows. The Orlando Centroplex is the place to go to see Broadway shows on tour. The Orlando Repertory Theatre is a children’s theater providing family-oriented entertainment.

The Orlando area is the home of several MLB spring training facilities. Two of them are close by, with the Braves practicing at Disney and the Astros at Kissimmee. The NBA's Orlando Magic play their home games at the Amway Center in downtown Orlando.
