Palm Beach at a Glance
Breakers Row Neighborhood
Up from the Miami-Ft. Lauderdale area on Florida’s east coast is the city of Palm Beach, a portion of which is the 140 acre beach-front resort community of Breakers Row. This is a neighborhood consisting of apartments, condos and homes, all dominated by, and part and parcel of, the Breakers Hotel and Resort complex.
To put it mildly, this is a ritzy neighborhood. Condo prices in this area begin at around $240K, but ocean view properties are much more. If you have a down payment of $203K, you can purchase a 17,400 sq. foot, 9 bedroom, 11 bathroom beach front home in the area for $47.5M. Off-season room rates for the hotel start at $329 per night.
If you live or visit here, you will have access to the two Breakers Palm Beach championship golf courses that are exclusive to the resort community. Private instruction is offered.
The resort has nine restaurants, five bars, ten lighted tennis courts, five pools, four whirlpool spas, one ocean-front spa that offers moonlight massages, ten boutiques, a family entertainment area and a private beach. Breakers Row also features an elegant shopping arcade where you can purchase all manner of upscale merchandise.
If for whatever reason you wish to venture outside the resort property for a bite to eat, try ECHO Restaurant, 264 The Grill or the very highly-rated Nick and Johnnie’s. For nightlife outside of the resort try out the Beach Club or the Sailfish Club of Florida.
There are several public and private schools and academies in the area including the Rosarian Academy and the Elementary Etiquette Society.
