Seminole County, one of the fastest-growing counties in the state, is located in the heart of Central Florida. It is located between Orange and Volusia Counties, and together they form the Orlando metro area. Known for its tourism industry, Seminole County is perfectly located near the theme parks, such as Disney World and Sea World, and the coast, with Daytona Beach located northeast of the county.
Seminole’s county seat, Sanford, is located near popular Lake Monroe and the St. Johns River. Downtown Sanford is a quaint Southern village, complete with brick-lined streets and a historic town clock. The city is home to the Orlando-Sanford International Airport.

Big Tree Park’s main focus is, well, a big tree. The senator is a 3,500-year-old Bald Cypress tree and an amazing sight. Other parks include Geneva Wilderness Area, Econ River Wilderness Area, Wekiwa Springs State Park, and Kewannee Park.
Seminole County’s other cities include Longwood, Winter Springs, Oviedo, Altamonte Springs, Casselberry, and Lake Mary. Other communities include Wekiwa Springs, Fern Park, Geneva, and Midway.
